Carmel Montessori Academy and Children's House

It's been a year since my daughter is going to this school and our experience is awesome. I did a LOT of research before choosing a school for her (read articles, visited schools, spoke to the people who run the schools). I live in Lisle and I have many options within 2 miles. Even though CMA is little far from where I live, there are some main reasons why I chose CMA. 1. Ideology of Mr. L (Head of the school). He loves what he does. He doesn't compromise on his values to run the school. They have been running from 45+ years. He doesn't run it for money but with passion! 2. Kids play outside EVERYDAY in MUD. 3. The teachers are extremely patient ( Most of our interaction has been with Mrs Ruth) 4. Kids almost always have trips on Fridays WITHOUT extra cost! 5. It's economical. They provide lunch too for free of cost. I have couple of complaints though 1. It's little tough to reach them over phone as they don't have any dedicated receptionist. 2. My actual biggest complaint is, my daughter becomes upset on weekends as there is no school! ;)

This school is amazing. My children have flourished here. The teachers are loving and supportive and have directed and guided my children in a learning atmosphere that is a an amazing Montessori model. When I pick them up from school, they don't want to leave and I can't ask for anything more than that! This school does require accountability and parental involvement which they deem to be very important to building the school community.

Great school for my three children. We have a horse, donkey (Igor of course), two goats born on the Fourth of July (blaze and glory), two rabbits, several chickens, fish and one bearded dragon!
