Appletree Preschool - River Edge

Both my daughters go here and love their teachers and staff. Everyone is engaged and positive.

Our oldest daughter is now just wrapping up her time in pre k4 at Appletree Preschool and I have to say it's been such a positive experience for her. She's been attending since Jan 2022 and she's loved every minute of it. From the teaching curriculum to the different activities throughout the day its been a fun journey. All of the teachers and staff have been so kind and amazing and its been so great seeing her always coming home with a smile on her face because the day at Appletree was so enjoyable. While I'm sure it's not easy and it will be a big change, I think Appletree definitely prepares kids well for the next journey into Kindergarten. We're looking forward to having our youngest daughter enroll in Appletree in a couple of years.

My twin boys have been at Appletree Preschool for about a year now. They are happy and thriving. All the directors, teachers and staff are amazing. You are informed with what is going on throughout the day. I highly recommend Appletree to anyone looking for quality care and education for their little ones.

When we first started looking for pre-schools my husband and I had a list of things we needed to consider. Proximity, facility, hours, cost, educational preparedness and most importantly - will our children be really loved and cared for. AppleTree River Edge has absolutely exceeded our expectations in all areas. There is no doubt that my kids are given plenty of attention and comfort when they need it. Our oldest is timid and when she started at 4 years old, they made her feel so welcome and at home. Our youngest is now a student there and he cannot wait to go every morning. If you are considering AppleTree, Ms. Courtney, Ms. Sonja and ALL of the staff are incredible, loving, kind, accepting and phenomenal educators. Your child will benefit from being with these women.

My daughter has been in Appletree since Toddler class in 2022 and is currently in Pre-K3 class. It’s been almost two years with Appletree. Overall, we are happy with the preschool. I researched five other pre-schools near our town, and actually visited all of them with a tour, then I chose the appletree; So far, our experience with appletree is truly amazing for below 3 reasons. 1. Good school program Appletree has great monthly school program in each age stage so that kids learn many things that parents can’t teach at home. My daughter is able to talk so fluently making complete full 3-4 sentences already before age 3 and most of words she learned from teachers and her peers. She is able to say her full name, able to count 1-30. At school, I noticed she is practicing writing numbers, full name and alphabet A-Z. She learns new things each week from the art and sport class and we often receive surprise gifts during holiday seasons with her art works. Outdoor playground is somewhat small; my daughter seems to not have any issue with this and enjoying it to the fullest during outdoor play. During the summer time, appletree has water activity time in that outdoor area and my daughter loves those water activity time. In fact, I feel more safe and secured with this water play area for kids because teachers are able to monitoring them carefully; minimize any incident during the water activity. 2. Amazing teachers Based on my short tour with other facilities near our town, I’ve noticed teachers only come on certain dates and times and not staying with kids all the time. On the other hand, I know Appletree has two teachers at each stage of class and they are all professional, extremely sweet, loving and caring. Since my daughter staying over 8 hrs in day care every day, having those amazing character teacher is a blessing. Every time I picked her up, teachers explained how was my daughter that date, so that I can continue to communicate with my daughter at home knowing her daily life. We truly appreciate teacher’s amazing care and love to my child. 3. Smooth communication I personally believe communication with teachers and admins is very important. Using Britewheel app, we communicate with teachers and admins daily basis. They are very responsive and always contact and inform of any incidents that occur at school. Thus, as a working mom, I can work with peace of mind knowing my daughter is in good hands. We are very happy there. And we know my daughter will be completely ready at the end of preK-4 to move up to public school at River Edge.

I recommend Appletree daycare in River Edge to everyone who says they are looking for a daycare. They have friendly, dedicated and professional staff. Easy to communicate with and always responsive to parents. I love their digital communication app Brightwheel. This app gives updated information about you child’s activities throughout the day. It also messages parents with any information or questions from teachers and/ or administrators. My kids love going to school. They can’t wait to see their teachers and friends every morning. Staff has fun and engaging activities for students to keep kids involved. My children have learned so much in their time at Appletree. Many thanks to the staff for all your hard work , love, dedication, patience to all the children, and for keeping personal belongings in order (bedding, clothes), helping with potty training, caring when they were not feeling well, making everyday a fun day and a safe environment. I hope anyone who reads this considers sending their child(ren) here to experience the positive and loving environment they give to each and every children in their care.

Both of my kids love Appletree and the staff there. They are super friendly and attentive. They have a very good academic system and a variety of other lessons to choose from, such as art, sports, and second language etc. The staff are very patient and always there when kids need help. My daughter used to be very shy and now she has developed so much in social skills and made so many friends in and out of school. Thanks Appletree!

We are so grateful to be a part of the Appletree Community! From the first day we took our tour, we knew this preschool was perfect for us because of how welcoming and loving the staff was. Two years later and we still love how they have provided a fun and safe environment for our kids. Our kids have grown so much since and the staff is so caring and attentive. When anyone asks, I always recommend appletree!

My son started in the infant class and has continued on to the toddler room and is now in pre K 2. The teachers and administrators are amazingly communicative and share photos and updates throughout the day. I absolutely love that they approach topics like social emotional learning and self care in such age appropriate ways. His little brother will be starting in the infant class in a few months and we're all very excited!

Let me start by first saying, how pleased I am with the administration/organization of this daycare. My daughter every morning goes into her classroom full of excitement and with a smile from ear to ear. Such a heart warming feeling knowing my daughter is at home but away from home. She loves her teachers and her little apple friends. The facility is always clean and safe from any hazard. The communication level is top tier, the teachers and the administration staff are very attentive + helpful. Thank you so much Ms. court, Ms. Sonja, Ms.Mel & Ms. smiley you guys are truly the best.
