Acton Academy San Diego East

Acton Academy has proven to be an excellent educational institution for my elementary age child. Their methodologies has increased the child’s reading & math skills above where her contemporaries are at in traditional public schools. The small class sizes, teacher student ratio, and a focus overcoming challenges with multiple approaches is preparing my child for a challenging future. I cannot recommend Mandy Callister and her staff enough. Michael Huarte

My son has been going to Acton for the last 3 years and loves his school! They have some computer programs for math and reading which they can complete at their own pace as well as Quest time for exhibitions that are different each session, such as American History or Entrepreneurship. Ms Mandy, the director, cares about all of the students and hires amazing guides for each studio. Can’t recommend this school enough!

The best of it's kind. Acton has been an extraordinary place for our kids to achieve independent and critical thinking, through a self-regulated system supported by well thought technological resources, coaching and peer reviewing. They get to actually enjoy learning because everything there seems crafted and in place to help them start and embrace their "hero's journeys"; to value their lives and time; to value others; to never give up on trying to find their calling. Acton San Diego East staff and ownership couldn't be better... they're wonderful and fully committed.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Acton Academy. Our son absolutely loves it here and is thriving in every aspect. The environment at the school is incredibly nurturing and supportive, fostering both personal and academic growth. The friends he has made are wonderful, and the teachers are exceptional in their dedication and care. They truly go above and beyond to ensure each child feels valued and understood. Their commitment is evident not only in the classroom but also through the fantastic field trips they organize, which provide enriching, hands-on learning experiences. One of the standout aspects of Acton Academy is its emphasis on developing independent thinkers. Our son has become much more self-reliant and confident in his abilities to problem-solve and think critically. Additionally, the school has a strong focus on promoting entrepreneurship, encouraging students to explore their creativity and initiative. Overall, Acton Academy has been an excellent fit for our family, and we are grateful for the positive and enriching impact it has had on our son.

The school and teaching staff are so amazing, caring and friendly. I have had my daughter enrolled for 3 years now and we never want to leave , its really a great program for education.

I have two kids enrolled in Acton Academy (Adventure and Spark) and I couldn’t be any happier. From the academics, the Guides (teachers), the friendships and close knit community that we have developed. I love how independent, motivated and excited my kids are each day. They have nothing but amazing things to say about Acton and so do I! If you are thinking about joining, it will be the best decision you will make for your child(ren) and family. I recommend Acton Academy to everyone I know.

My boys love this school! They've both been school avoidant in the past but Acton opened up a whole new world for them. Education is hands on and individualized. Each child is treated like an individual and not just another student. The small class sizes and low student to teacher ratios maximize both learning and making friends. My son with autism and ADHD made so many more friends here than in a large, overwhelming public school class. He says Miss Mandy is the best teacher he's ever had. He's actually excited to go to school there. The exhibitions are unique and educational and fun.
