Melbourne Montessori College has made the world of difference to our family. My daughter has flourished in the Montessori program this year. She is happier and brighter than she’s ever felt at school. She started at MMC in year 8 (cycle 4) and my only regret is that she didn’t start sooner. The small class sizes are ideal for supporting students and helping them feel valued and heard. The Montessori method has helped motivate my daughter and keeps her engaged in the curriculum. My daughter struggled in the mainstream educational system and has certainly “found her place” here at MMC. The teaching staff are incredible; they create an exemplary classroom culture with friendly, casual and approachable teacher/student dynamics that helps encourage, challenge and guide the kids to be their best selves. The school values education of the whole person; integrity, respect, accountability and responsibility. These values underpin the educational program, and are evident in every aspect of the school environment. I can’t speak highly enough of MMC and I recommend this college to families and students who feel they want “more” from their school experience.

During Covid lockdown, this school was unable to conduct the parent toddler program for half of the term. However, they refuse to offer any refund, make up class or credit to the students and failed to respond to the email request I sent. The situation was handled poorly and I do not recommend this school as a result. Reply: Thank you for your reply. My child was enrolled in Term 2 in 2021 and we have received no compensation from the school. Given how expensive this program is compared to other similar playdate/classes, this was very disappointing indeed. I spoke to other mums who attended the program with their children at the time and they were all very disappointed. As far as I was aware, 20% discount would be offered to the people who wish to enrol in Term 3. We obviously lost interest in the program at that time and did not want to fork out more money knowing that no refund/make up classes/credit will be offered and the arrogant attitude of the school management team. My last email to Farha Syed(22 June 2021) also got no response. Happy to forward you the email trail if you want to. The only reason why I brought this up now is because my friend told me she wants to enrol her daughter into this program and I thought it is best to leave a fair review to warn other parents and make sure they are aware of what they are getting themselves into.

I attended this school. Made my best friends here, and the best memories. If you want your child to make memories and learn a lot of different skills, i would recommend. From building sheds, to launching miniature rockets, to ski camps, and writing plays, MMS really is the experience package. However, i moved schools for grade 7 as MMS is not very academically focused. My parents wanted me to be successful, so I have joined the SEAL program, which MMS does not have.

Absolutely the worst school experience I've ever had. Poor communication, unhelpful staff, and a lack of support for students. Would not recommend!

Horrible school!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!! I sent my child here 2021 and ever since that decision, that was a huge mistake a made. My daughter experienced situations that no student should ever experience in their lifetime attending school. She was verbally abused by both the math, English and deputy principal teachers. Kyle, Brandan and Julian are one of the worst people I have come across. I have heard other incidents where the teachers have threatened students, I am so frustrated at how this school is still standing after everything that has occurred. This school has covered up incidents and made it look like that it was the student's fault. They are corrupt. Including that Danial of a principal. I am disgusted at this school, my daughter was scared to tell me about what was going on within this school, it took her two years to finally open up to me and tell me the truth about how school is really going, a 15-year-old girl should NEVER experience this at a school. The amount of bullying from the teachers and the amount of lies these teachers has spread is horrendous. Please I beg you, do not take your child to this school, I cannot express anymore at how corrupt this school is.
