Guildford Montessori Academy Childcare Centre

My daughter has been enrolled with Montessori Guildford since she was 10 months old and is now in the toddlers room. As first time parents, my husband and I were apprehensive about the idea of getting her into early childcare due to the horror stories you hear from others. I visited a number of centres around my area and I’m so happy I came across Montessori Academy Guildford. The Manager (Karita) at that time was very assuring and built a positive rapport with my baby. Since then there has been a change in management a few times and change in staff which is expected in this industry but the high quality care has remained consistent even with the changes. One thing that stands out about this centre is they will do everything they can to tailor the care specifically for your child and all of the educators are genuinely passionate about all the children in their care. The current Manager Deena has done an exceptional job in keeping the centre running closely aligned to their policies which are set quite high. My daughter has learned so much along the way too and is a thriving little toddler - thank you to all the educators and Ms Deena for providing a safe space and quality care for our kids! We need more centres like this!

The worst management and their system, have absolutely no clue of what they are doing. No doubt few of their educators are good but the rest just do their own shit. Always short in staff, every other day your kid will see a new face that would make her upset. I had issues when my child was attending this centre but unfortunately I am still suffering by their poor management. Still waiting on bond money for more than 3 months since my child has left the centre and you are just frustrated by chasing them everyday and to listen their stupid excuse. I was so confident that my child is going to MONTESSORI but now super disappointed as the centre is still in the process of learning the system.

If you’re thinking of sending your children here DON’T, the current manager is rude mean and very judgemental. When picking a childcare it’s best to choose a small run business not a large one where your child is just a number and speaking to managers take days just for them to get back to you. Some staff here were amazing and others not very sympathetic towards children, due to a lack of staff on days you’d frequently find your toddlers in the baby room while their friends will be playing out side, your child will be in a 0-2 room because of ratios due to lack of staff.

I had the pleasure of sending my daughter here for about 1 and a half years while we lived in the area, everything from the environment, learning curriculum and educators were above my expectations, if you are looking for a good childcare centre to send your child too, this is the one.

I have two children that attend Guildford Montessori. I have very happy with the overall management of the centre. The manager and staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this centre.
